Jill Poole is an independent artist and printmaker living and working in Hampshire in the South of England.

Jill's work holds a strong emphasis towards nature. She uses a combination of printing techniques and collage, using recycled and organic material. The works vary in scale and are printed on paper from managed sources, using soya and water-based inks. Her designs not only reflect nature, but also consider the environment.

"The work always begins with a narrative developed through research and image making, using drawings, collage, photographs, and collected items. I have already gone through a process of detailed imagining. I've worked out the layers and colours scheme in my mind before I go into the studio. The desired look is one of a calming influence, using soft, muted tones, aiming to create a sense of tranquillity"
