28 cm x 38 cm

This collage is part of ‘The Floral Visitors’ series of prints and collages that explores the decline of our bees and pollinating insects. The series highlights some of the best plants to grow when gardening for pollinators throughout the seasons.

With their pale-yellow petals and orange centres Primroses are a cheerful sign of spring. They are one of the first woodland blooms and an important nectar source for butterflies like brimstone and small tortoiseshell.

If the number and variety of our pollinators continue to decline it will be devastating for humankind, as they pollinate many of the plants we use for food.

Collage of hand-painted and vintage papers.

This artwork is sold unmounted and unframed.
