SOLD - Hedgerow Series – Longtail Tits II

£80.00
sold out

Mixed media monoprint.

20 x 20 cm.

During the spring and summer months Longtail Tits feed on insects and spiders and occasionally seeds and buds, but during the winter when food is scarce, they visit the garden feeders where they especially love the suet pellets and peanuts. Because they are so tiny, they find it hard to stay warm during prolonged cold spells and feeding them can make the difference between life and death.

The long-tailed tit population is doing well, however, the loss of woodland and felling of trees threatens the species’ habitat.
